Policies & Guidelines
Updated 4/2022
Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the following terms and conditions. By agreeing to work with me, you are agreeing to these terms of service.
As my valued client, I promise to do my best work for you at all times. My job is to present you and your business in the most genuine and positive light possible. In exchange, you agree to provide me with everything I need to complete your project in a timely fashion. This includes reviewing my work and providing relevant feedback where necessary and do so within our agreed upon time frame.
Privacy
Any personal information you provide including your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address will not be released, sold, or rented to any outside entities or individuals.
I do not collect credit card numbers directly. Credit card payments are completed through pre-arranged mobile or online apps or websites (such as Venmo, Zelle, etc).
Timelines
Most projects have a target completion date, which is a range of normal completion time. If you’ve got a firm deadline, please let me know as soon as possible, preferably prior to beginning the project. I cannot be responsible for “late” or “overdue” projects that have no established deadline.
While I try my best to complete projects in a timely manner, I cannot be responsible for any delays, errors or issues pre- or -post-launch caused as a result of:
- client payment issues
- a rogue client team member or a 3rd party service provider on the client’s end refusing to provide me access to server areas or the website hosting area itself, or
- if clients are slow to supply information necessary for me to complete our agreed upon work
I am an individual, not a large agency or corporate entity with interchangeable ‘parts’. Thus, I cannot be held responsible for deadlines missed due to circumstances completely beyond my control (weather, family or personal emergencies, lack of engagement or interest from clients in moving their projects forward, staff on the client’s end refusing to provide site or property access/logins etc).
Projects are completed in queued order, with priority given to deadlined projects that are current and paid up to date.
Payment Information
For most projects, I require non-refundable payments and/or deposits up front. Your invoice/s can also be paid through credit card or bank account via mobile apps such as Venmo, Zelle, or in some cases, PayPal Credit.
Design & Consultation Liability
My tips, advice, how-tos, tutorials, web development, and marketing consulting are never a 100% complete solution for your business, and you will generally be required to do a share of your own work to help your business succeed, once my design and consultation services for you are complete.
The ongoing success of your business is your own, and you assume full responsibility for it. I am not liable to clients, or any third party, for damages or legal issues due to their business practices online or off.
Refunds will not be made for purchased information products, workshops, digital offerings, or website/marketing deposits and payments. “Flat-fee” web development projects that are cancelled at the client’s request, or that go over two months with no movement due to client issues, will be converted to hourly SEO time (at a rate of $55/hr).
Hourly Work
I sell blocks of hours, to be used for search marketing consultation and related research, site maintenance, design and site updates, including tech support. Hourly work doesn’t promise a finished product and more time may need to be purchased to complete the given task at hand. Purchases of prepaid consulting & development hours are not refundable.
Pre-Purchased or Leftover Blocks of Time
If you have pre-purchased blocks of hours in which to do specific work, or if a contract or other arrangement has remaining hours, you have 2 months (60 days) from the date of purchase or end of contract, whichever applies, in which to use these remaining hours for whatever contracted work you decide upon. If these hours are not used, they expire at the end of 2 months. You will need to pay for new hours, if you wish to continue work.
Project Holds & Cancellations
If a client is non-responsive or unable/unwilling to provide the input and communication needed to move the project forward after multiple attempts on my end to continue work, the project will be put on hold for 30 days and the client will be notified in writing via email and USPS.
At the end of that time, a Re-Boot Fee of $500 will be applied to start the project again and fit it into my calendar (re-scheduling a project is based on my availability). If at the end of 30 days, the client is still unresponsive, or doesn’t wish to pay the Re-Boot Fee, the project will be cancelled with no refunds.
Geographic Area
This business operates solely within the boundaries of San Bernardino County, CA. All legal claims, disputes and mediation must be made within this county.
I appreciate my readers sharing my content, and I provide share buttons on some of my content for you to do so easily. If you want to quote any of my work or share my content on social media, please link back to my site. Sharing content from my free or paid workshops, or my digital products, is not allowed.
Thank you!

She not only got the new site up and running quickly but created a design that is visually attractive and attention-getting across multiple platforms.
Throughout the process, Brea was efficient and professional, responding to my concerns about expressing our identity accurately.”

From the initial consultation to the day when I was able to go live with my new fully-functional website, Brea’s work was the very definition of exemplary.
She is very good at taking the vision of her clients and translating them into a website that is thematically appropriate, easy to use, clean, and engaging.
Her explanations of SEO and some of the more technical aspects of web visibility are concise, easy to understand, and non-threatening for those of us who are flummoxed by the jargon.
Her pricing is the most reasonable I’ve seen, especially considering the level of quality she delivers. I can’t recommend Brea enough!”

They created my author site and I couldn’t be happier. We held Skype meetings to discuss what I wanted before work started and calls along the way to keep on track. And they nailed it.
Everything came together on time and on budget, and there were even meetings to discuss how to run, change and maintain my WordPress site as well as a couple of follow up calls to see how everything was going. I know if I need help, Brea is still there to support me.”
